K9 Life Denmark is based in Tylstrup in Denmark, but started with K9 Life USA based in Michigan, USA. Together we are the K9 Life family. K9 Life was founded back in 2018 by David Klimek and Jesper Andersen. The bases of K9 Life are so far in Tylstrup - Denmark, Texas - USA and Michigan - USA.

We specialize in training and selling a wide range of dogs with different skills. These are protection dogs, police dogs, military working dogs and family dogs.

We offer the sale of pre-trained dogs, meaning the dog has received the necessary basic training for the desired skills. Here you will be buying a trained dog.

We also offer help for those who want to find their next puppy. If you are looking for a working dog/puppy from Europe with high drive, a clear head, good health and good pedigree, we will help you find the right one and deliver it to you. If you want us to train it before delivery, that is also possible.

The K9 Life family is one of the few companies that has a branch in Scandinavia, if not the only one. We trains and export dogs from Europe, to the USA and the rest of the world. We are a family run company where everyone is involved in running the business. We all help with training and the welfare of the dogs while they are in our care.

Our philosophy is to make solid, mentally strong Police Dogs. Dogs that the police officers can trust while on the job and bring the dogs home to their families after work. And not have to worry about them attacking the family as long as you use healthy sense.

In the short time our company has existed we have delivered close to 50 police dogs while maintaining our firm belief in quality over quantity.

The Police dogs K9 Life has provided have had a good amount of apprehensions, and as far as we know not a single failure in apprehending the criminal, they have also had large amounts of Narcotics seizures along with their dog handlers.

In 2022 the Police dog K9 Exo of the Pascagoula Police was killed in connection with his service. He saved his handler from an armed gunman lying in an ambush waiting to shoot Exo's handler.

K9 Exo apprehended the suspect, but unfortunately he was shot and killed. Though this saved his handler, who was given the necessary time needed to shoot the suspect.

K9 Exo came from K9 Life Denmark, and is a testament to the caliber of dogs we produce.

We also produce a small number of protection dogs every year. Our protection dogs get a lot of training, socialization and exposure of a normal everyday life so that they fit in and can be part of the Family.

They are safe around children and family members. But as with any other dog, you should always use common sense and remember that it is a dog that is trained to protect you and the family.

With every protection dog we sell, we will educate you and the family on the use of the dog. And how to avoid bad situations and behaviors.

We also do private lessons and board & train for all types of dogs and for all types of purposes, in short, we do pretty much everything.

Jesper Andersen

  1. Jesper Andersen has been a K9 handler for over 12 years with the Danish Military and is still on active duty.
    He has trained Patrol Explosive Detection Dogs, Patrol Drug Detection Dogs and Patrol Dogs in the Danish Military.
    He and his dogs have been named the best Patrol Dog in the Danish Military in 2018, 2021 & 2023 and
    2nd place 2016, 2017 & 2022.
    They where named the best Explosive Detection Dog team in 2016.
    They got 2nd place in the 2019 Space Coast Police K9 Competition.
    Jesper and his dogs have won numerous civilian competitions in Denmark and USA over the course of the last decade.

    Jesper has a passion for training dogs and an eye for details, nothing is left to chance and he takes his time building the dogs to where the dog understands the job it´s being asked to perform.
    Jesper is a firm believer in socializing the dogs and exposing them to all sorts of environments, we use the dogs natural instincts to train them to perform the specific job we are training them for.

Katherina Andersen

Co-owner

  1. Katherina Andersen is co-owner of K9 Life Denmark. She has worked as a licensed veterinary nurse for over 15 years. She is also a certified dog masseurs and cranio-sacral therapist for animals. She has several functions in K9 Life Denmark. She is a trainer, and works both as a dog handler and as a decoy. She walks the dogs, does kennelcleaning and various administrative tasks. She works as the dogs rehabilitationtherapist, where she helps the animals to a better everyday life, without pain or other disturbing imbalances.

    Katherina manages our subdivision K9 massage and therapy.
